It depends on how fast the owner can learn them
Dogs learn quick if we show them right

Re: I'm 1st!!!! LOL

To try and answer your question properly - LOL

I assume you would need to get the basics of one then introduce the other.
Zipper does agility, but not fly ball, and we did an introductory 6 week course followed by 3 one on one lessons then we had the basics enough to join the main classes.
Is it something you plan to do with Kya? I reckon she'd be good at them as she is a quick learner, don't know anything abut Flyball but you have different size classes in agility.
(we only do agility for fun - don't enter competitions)

yes lianne is going to try do both with her as she can't show her so so the only way she can do something competively.

Re: I'm 1st!!!! LOL

I go to a club that trains flyball on a wednesday night, followed by agility. Many of the dogs do both. I don't because Zak does not like sandy balls, difficult as the balls get sandy in the horse arena! Find a club & join it, my dogs love agility. Zak (GSD) absolutely will do anything to get into a ring & compete, Tilly (terrier) has been slightly harder to train, but she is doing really well now. Most important thing is to have fun & enjoy it.

or heelwork to music maybe, or obedience?
I think agility is best though, just be careful it doesn't take over your life and all your money like it has with me!

Most dogs learn the equipment in the basic six to eight week course, apart from the weave that usually takes a good bit longer. The hard part is you getting the hang of where to position yourself and how to guide the dog using body movements. Before you start, get the dog to walk happily on either side of you, good recall and a wait helps a lot too. What sort of dog is it?

wow, never seen one of them doing agility. as with all the arctic breeds, you will have to be careful of overheating through activity in warm weather. You see quite a lot of agility dogs being wetted to cool them. Looks like she will be in the medium size category.
