Re: Prices for classes
It's 40 pounds for the 6 week starter course, then 24 pounds for 6 weeks thereafter.
It's for an hour every week. There are 6 - 8 dogs in a class. Most good clubs have long waiting lists (about a year).

Re: Prices for classes
I guess this section of the forums isn't looked at on a regular basis as almost no one has replied!! Lol, thank you Oenoke for your response.

Re: Prices for classes
This website is pretty useful, when you go onto the site if you click on the clubs a-z tab then it will give you a long list of clubs and you can search for ones that are close to you
Although hes not old enough yet they may have a waiting list so would be good to register your interest.http://www.agilitynet.com/ I pay 3.50 an hour and I go twice a week (weds night & sun morning) there are normally about 7 dogs in the class I go to, but that can change if people are away at shows and stuff. Although i've done 2 and half hours straight before I was knackered!! With 3 different dogs that is lol Not my own but the instructors dogs. I'm waiting till I can have my own collie to train up ![]() Hope this helps abit ![]() |

Re: Prices for classes
Unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule. It will depend on the club, the trainer, the facilities offered etc. I dont tend to do group but have 1-2-1 lessons, I used to pay £35 an hour but have now found a better trainer but she only charges £20 an hour

Re: Prices for classes
I pay £3.50 for an hour and a half. About 15 in the class, but we're split into two groups, each working a different set of equipment. Sometimes the whole lot is made into a full course that we all take turns to do.
You'll find that clubs that hold agility shows tend to cost less for training as the shows make profit that acts as a subsidy for training. Private individuals charging for training classes will cost more. Look on AgilityNet/Clubs A-Z for what's going on near you. Last edited by Burrowzig; 20-07-2011 at 05:50 PM.. |

Re: Prices for classes
We pay a yearly subscription which I think is £10. Then class fees are £3.50 a time. That is for an hour. The club does not 'over subscribe' it's classes, so there are never too many dogs. Different levels and times throughout the week, evening classes during the summer months. Great fun! We only do it for fun, I don't think we will ever compete, but it does help with your relationship with the dog. I would contact your local club now and get registered for when your dog is old enough, as someone else said, there are usually waiting lists. Our club also do an assessment class, where you have to attend before they will take you onto their lessons, this is just to make sure that everyone is happy and comfortable with the equipment, training etc which is a good idea.

Re: Prices for classes
One agility club I go to occassionally is £60 for the year including all classes (obedience, agility etc) but the classes can be quite big, I have had about 14 before but if you are lucky you will have 6-8. Another local informal club is £10 for the year and £3 a session with about 5-6 dogs per class and sessions are about an hour...
