Jumping over jumps is only the start of it. Flyball jumps (4 low jumps in a short straight line) is a world away from a jumping course at an agility show. Can you direct your dog around the course, do turns, pull-ins, push-backs, weaves, tyre jump (you said he doesn't like that), long jump? Do you know how to walk the course properly and remember it? Can you leave your dog on the start-line while you walk to the second obstacle, then release? If your dog isn't confident of your directions then neither of you are ready. It can take six months or more to get the weave up to scratch!
Not trying to chuck a wet towel at you, just if you try to do too much too quick it can make your dog lose confidence. It should be fun for them, above all else.
