Vaccinations

Are all the agility/flyball organisations vaccinations Stazi or do some allow you without a certificate. I ask because I have my dogs vaccinated as pups, but stop at that, as I don't believe in having animals (or myself) unnecessarily injected with chemicals.

Re: Vaccinations

I doubt you will be able to find a club willing to take the chance with accepting an unvaccinated dog. Most responsible clubs insist on seeing certificates of vaccination from members each year.

It is because of vaccination that the rates of potentially deadly, infectious canine dieases have dropped so much and our dogs are living much longer and healthier lives.

This also applies to humans.

An alternative if you could find one that will accept instead, is antibody titre testing to all the viral infections that would be covered in the standard set of vaccines. I have mine done every year to check if antibody cover is adequate instead of just annual bostering, and so far it has been. So that might be something you could ask about. It just requires a simple blood test that is sent off, and I think your vet could do you a covering letter to say it had been carried out and was adequate, therefore boosters are not required.
At least this way you also know your dogs are protected.

Re: Vaccinations

Yup! That's a good point. I'm pretty sure most clubs would accept that.

Interesting. So all these dogs that must be kept away from my 'unvaccinated' dog, what do they do when they meet her in the local park when having a daily walk? Yep, they come into contact with her and quite often have a play, as she's a very friendly sociable dog.

As for human vaccines, I wouldn't believe everything that people in authority tell you, that is good for you. Apparently governments are happy to get us to take vaccines laden with squalene and mercury, but want a different vaccine (without those ingredients) for themselves.

You have to ask yourself, if they are so good for us, why don't they want then?
