PetForums Refer a Friend Competition - Win £200 Cash

Hi All,

We are now running the PetForums "Refer a Friend Competition" where the winner receives a £200 cash prize.

To enter the competition you need to be a registered and active member* of PetForums.co.uk. All you need to do is to refer as many people to the PetForums.co.uk website who then register on the forum and become active members*. The winner will be the person who has referred the most people to the forum before the end of 31st July 2009. Please note that it is Free to register on PetForums.co.uk.

There are many ways in which you can refer people to the website, you could tell people by word of mouth, i.e. friends and family. You can post your referral link on other websites, i.e. social websites like facebook, twitter, myspace, bebo etc..., even post your referral link on your own pet website if you have one, or just send out emails to friends and family who you think maybe interested in the forum.

Please note that you each of you have a unique referral URL link in your profile, if you login and go to "Edit profile" you will notice the link near the top of the page. If you copy this link and send it out in emails or post it on websites, everytime someone clicks on the link and then registers on PetForums, you will be automatically credited with 1 referral. Please note that your profile page shows how many referrals you currently have.

If you have told someone to register by word of mouth and they arent following a link, then please let them know your username so that they can type it in on the registeration form as the name of the person who referred them.

Please be as creative as you want in trying to recruit new members, but please dont start spamming other forums.

You are welcome to copy our logo and use it in your promotion or to enter your own text along with the link if your posting it on a website.

If you have any questions then please ask.

At the end of the competition on 31st July, please pm myself with the number of your referrals you have made and I will check them and announce the winner.

* Please note that the people you refer need to become active members and make at least 10 posts on the forum. This will prevent people registering themselves multiple times just to gain extra referrals.

If you would like to add our logo on your website which includes your referral link, just copy and paste the code below on to your website and replace the xxxx with your referral id number which can be found on your profile.

Hopefully it will encourage some of our members to enter the competition

I was going to offer a years supply of dog or cat food, but realised some of our members dont have dogs or cats, so the cash would be best.

Come on everyone, we havent had many referrals yet. Im sure £200 would come in useful for people.

Hi All,

So far we have had a grand total of 1 new referral which meets our competition criteria. i.e. 1 referral which has made over 10 posts.

The member AngleXoXo is currently in the lead to win £200. So come on everyone and get referring, it doesnt look like its going to be hard to win at this rate.

Referring people - if İ should win can İ designate Animal charity to recieve money as İ am not in UK?

You can still win the money as I could send it via paypal. If you did win, it would be up to you if you wanted to donate it or not after I had sent it to you.
