Re: Pregnant? Ill?
Hiya thanks for your advice, I dont have the male, a friend of mine has him an he looked after my chinchilla while i was on holiday on 2 seperate occasions this year for a week each time. I bought a fruit n nut bag from tescos about 3 weeks ago n she has been having nuts n stuff out of it but its only been the last couple of days that her droppings have changed colour.

![]() Not only will you a seperate cage to wean the babies into (2 cages if different sexes), but you will have the responsibility of finding the kits permanent homes......which may not be easy in the current economic climate. Nuts and dried fruit are not the best diet for chinchillas (apart from an odd treat) so feed them sparingly, Your female should be on a good brand of pellets and good quality hay. This is a good site for all things chinchilla Breeding chinchillas information and links to more information Last edited by kirksandallchins; 23-08-2009 at 03:42 PM.. Reason: bad spelling |
