Baby chin rejected

This is a 2month old male chinnie my sister bought yesterday as a companion for her 9month old chinchilla which is currently paired with our female chin.

At first all 3 hit it off fantastically and they were social and xploring but after about an hour the adults started bickering the baby

Guess we will have to take him back to the breeder or find him a new home...am very sad, he is SO cute!

Re: Baby chin rejected

sorry, but you havent even tried to introduce them right and you are now giving up??

put the "baby" in a cage on his own next to the other 2 and leave them set up like that for a few days, then take things very slowly, with monitered playtimes together in a neutral area, after a few weeks doing this you can try them all in a NEUTRAL cage together and see how you go from there

also he is VERY VERY young, he shouldnt have left home yet! they start to wean at 8 weeks old and should be fully weaned at 9 - 10, however they should not leave home till 12 -14 weeks old

Re: Baby chin rejected

I know all that and I wouldn't have given up but it's my sisters chin not mine...
