holiday

Hi there my partner recently brought a chin (3 months) but she didn't read up on them first and now shes learning as she goes but what she failed to think about is that in a weeks time we are off on holiday for 10 days, now she thinks it's ok for her to take him to a friends house which would mean he would be threre for almost two weeks.
He has only just got used to us so i dont think this is a good idea the only person that can look after him hear is my mother so he would not be allowed out the cage for that time because he's a nightmare to get back in and my mom suffers from a bad back so wouldn't be able to get him in.
so could someone advise me on which of the two would be best.

thanks
david

Re: holiday

Probably best keeping him where he is. I went on holiday for 1 week having had mine for four months and they are very settled friendly chinchillas who get on with all my family including 6 year old brother who is loud and excitable. They still weren't themselves and were a bit put out by it even though they went to a family good with animals who got them out regularly and put them in a nice quiet room.
