I'm getting two Chinchilla's at 12 weeks old from a breeder in my local area and I was just wondering what sort of cage would be best? I know it needs to be fairly big but would a wooden frame or a wired cage be best? Or if I should use plastic shelves and ladders or wooden ones as I'm going to kind of construct/build it myself.
Thanks for your help x Last edited by Lauren.xxx; 06-09-2010 at 09:44 PM.. |

Re: Chinchilla cage?!
Chinchillas love to chew so wood and plastic would be most welcome as far as they are concerned!
Here is a very good supplier of purpose made chinchilla cages. He also sells everything that you would need to make your own if you were so inclined. http://www.johnhopewell.co.uk/ They are reasonably priced but you can often pick up similar secondhand on Ebay if you have an account on there. But those are the type of cages that are best to have for chinchillas. ![]() |
