our chinchilla kits

we've been breeding chins for a little while now, only breeding from chins with a 5 generation pedigree.

So far we've had 5 kits this year but another 3 have arrived this morning

Lilly has had 2, one is a standard and the other is a homo beige.
Clio has had 1, a standard.

I'm well chuffed

What a handful

Glad to see you 'rescue' had a quick look at your website, some lovely colours to Chinchillas I didn't realise

Are they born with fur, eyes open?

Re: our chinchilla kits

yep, fully furred and eyes open. Although this time we had to open their eyes for them. We had them out earlier for 10mins and our homo beige fell asleep on my other half

Re: our chinchilla kits

Aww they sound lovely.
I have four 3 day old baby guinea-pigs at the mo, they are the size of small hamsters. They are born fully furred and eyes open.

What size are baby chins?
