I have four 3 day old baby guinea-pigs at the mo, they are the size of small hamsters. They are born fully furred and eyes open.

What size are baby chins?
their anything from 30g - 60g at birth. Anything less than 30g probably won't survive. Our latest ones were over 40g so that's a relief.

Re: our chinchilla kits

Had another look at your site.

I think my favourites are Harvey, AJ & Indiana, their coats just look so luxurious, what kinds are they?

Congrats on 2 boys & 1 girl, you can sex them really early then.
With Guinea-pigs you shouldn't try & sex them until about 3 weeks.

I love the look of chins, I have heard they can be nibblers ( of household stuff not fingers).
I would love a pair but I think my Bengals would scare them too much, I just couldn't take the risk.

I used to keep my Guinea-pigs indoors but the cats were just too interested in them. So before we had any accidents they had to be housed outside

Look forward to seeing some photos of the babies soonish

Harvey, AJ and Indiana are all violets

Harvey and AJ are brothers and Indiana is AJ's son.

they are nibblers mostly skirting boards with us

Re: our chinchilla kits

Have you any charcoal chins they are really lovely. I think chins are so full of anticts and always up to some thing. I also like chip munks and considered building a huge avairy for a pair in the garden but am a little worried they will suffer with the cold. May be i worry to much. Need to find out more info. How long have you owed your chins.?
