Colic in chinchillas
If a chinchilla is in pain immediate professional attention is required !
Liquid paraffin by mouth, and/or soap and water enemas may be necessary if the colic is due to severe constipation. Homeopathic treatment of colic and/or constipation is possible, and different homeopathic remedies can be indicated depending on the different presenting symptoms.

Thankfully, colic is fairly rare in chinchillas - I've owned them for 20 years and never had a case of it yet, and its rarely mentioned on any of the chinchilla forums I am a member of.
