is it too late?

Hi everyone.

I'm due to pick up my new girl on saturday (as you may know by now).

I'm very keen to show and have bought the following items in preparation;

*white litter tray
*white D bowl
*white food bowl
*white show blanket 24" by 28"
*green backed vet bed 2' by 2'

I have also purchased the Hagen Cabrio cat carrier (opens from the top as well as the front).

First of all, does all of that seem ok? Is there anything else i need?

Also, theres a show on the 13th, i know it's soon but i was wondering if i could still make it? I know i'd have to call the show manager and thats fine, and there wont be the 21 days after transfer (i'd have to put TAF) just wondering if you think it's too soon. It will be my 1st time exhibiting.

Re: is it too late?

Likelihood is that you will have missed it. If you look on the club's website at the schedule it will tell you the deadline. Usually that is a deadline that relates to when they have to go to the printers.

Your items seem fine. There are other things you need to remember for the day like a bottle of water, food, toys, brushes etc.

Re: is it too late?

The official closing date was 11th January and whilst some shows take very late entries a closing date of just a month before the show is quite tight anyway so they may not be taking late entries but guess there is no harm in asking. Sometimes if a show does its own paperwork they can take much later entries.

The best place to look for shows is here Welcome to the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy. Schedules are usually available about 2 1/2 to 3 months before the date of the show and a lot are now online at this site or at the club sites, others you need to send an SAE for one.

Good luck, hope you find some suitable shows but you may need to travel as there are not an awful lot up there!

Carol
