showing queries

I pick up my girl on saturday and am wondering how long i need to wait until i can show her. She will be 15 weeks old. I want to show her before she is mated.

Also, i've been looking at getting a new carrier, one that's suitable for cat shows. Would this one;
Hagen Catit Design Pet Cargo Cabrio Cat Carrier Pink on eBay (end time 10-Feb-10 17:28:01 GMT)
be suitable?

I'm also wondering what grooming equipment/accessories are required for british shorthairs?

Re: showing queries

She will be old enough to show with the GCCF. You need to have 21 days between transferring the reg. (pink slip) & the show, however.

Re: showing queries

stuff.

Just wondering, do people still show animals that have been bred or have had kittens?

What if you enter your girl in a show, then when the date comes she is calling? Can she still be shown?

Re: showing queries

There are rules on queens that others will know better than I do. I think you have to wait until the kittens have gone at least.

I don't think there are any issues with a calling queen aside from maybe some annoyed exhibitors of the nearby boys.
