Great day at the Colourpoint British show yesterday

We had a lovely day yesterday, we had a mixed bag of results.

Muffin got 1st and bob , two 1sts and a 3rd in the side.

Her half brother Alfie got 3rd and 3rd in the sides, I was a little dissapointed to be honest , but we had a disaster with his coat last week when a vet combed right down his back with a flea comb!!
I had a chat with his judge after, she said he was just against stiff competition, she liked his coat colour and eye colour so hopefully next year when he is a little older he will do a little better

Welldone to everyone showing yesterday

Well done Jen. It looks like Muffin had a brilliant day! And Alfie is a lovely looking boy, he must have been up against extremely stiff competition. I'm sure he'll do fab next time.

Thanks for the pictures! xx

Your cats are gorg we have a black smoke british short hair male aged 8 months he is a neuter. Why did you say you had a problem with his coat....is there a special way of grooming them for shows..? Sorry as i just brush mine out with a soft brush . Hes a pet but it is manily out of curiousty. Many thanks. Why cant you use a flea comb is it because it flattens there coats.

Thankyou, He seemed to enjoy the day, Hopefully we will take im out next jan, feb time. He just needs a bit of time I think, the judge said some nice things about him so that was promising at least

Thanks for the pictures! xx

She must of used the finest flea comb possible and stripped out all of his under coat all the way down his back, it made the top of his coat look darker in colour and made it look too close lying. The rest of him was all plush so it stood out a mile. It really ruined his coat
