Well I made a boob!! Cheshire Show

Hi All
well I have made a right boob! On entering Ollie my Maine Coon for the Cheshire show i entered him in the maine coon cat club class by mistake! There wer so many misc classes I got confused.

Now i realised a few weeks ago and promptly completed an application form and sent of my payment to the club. Well havent' hear anything so just rung them and apparently it has to go to comittee and that won't be till Jan next year!!!! I asked what I need to do and they said that I will have to withdraw him from that category.

I rung the show organisers adn everything has gone to print and so to late to change! Now if the Maine Coon Cat Club had stated on their website that applications have to go to comittee and these are every few months I would of just rung the show orgaisers first and hopefully would of caught them before everything went to print!

Anyway now only entered in two misc classes and a lesson well learnt! To be honest in hindsight I would of entered a few more side classes as if your going to go to the trouble og getting ready for a show etc then would be better of with more chances of winnign something - another lesson learnt!!!

Anyway sorry for going on just wante to rant a bit!!

Most clubs just ratify new members at their committee meetings accepting membership at anytime on an immediate basis.

You'd think in this day and age when club memberships are on the decline they would welcome new members with open arms and make it easy for them to join.
