can I?

Show a spayed Bengal?

If i can't its not an issue would be nice when i get a bengal. I will get one. if i can't get one while my daugther is little i will get one when she leaves home. i jsut thought it would be fun to show the cat just dont know if you can when they are spayed.

I know you can't dogs which is why i ask!

Re: can I?

Yes, certainly you can. There are classes at shows for neutered cats, both male and female. Kittens can also be shown if neutered.

Re: can I?

If she is a pedigree, with papers, then yes you can show her as a bengal neuter. If she doesn't have any papers, then you can still show her in the non ped section in the appropriate class - some have classes specifically for pedigree look alikes.

Re: can I?

why wouldnt you be allowed one with young children?

Especially as your children have grown up with animals, and soon to be growing up with puppies, so having to learn to respect them too!

What you want though is a Show Neuter - remember to let the breeder know you want to show! A good breeder will be able to select a likely looking kitten for you, after all they get shown with the breeders prefix. And no good breeder wants a "obviously" pet quality kitten being shown lol

Re: can I?

Be sure to say that you are looking for a show neuter when you approach breeders, not all pedigree kittens have show potential.

I believe it's a case of her daughter was allergic to cats, seems to have outgrown it but they need to spend time with cats before buying one, to see if she is ok with them

AHH that makes sense now!

I would get in contact with some bengal breeders and see if you can visit for a couple of hours?

Is it the hair, the dander or the saliva she is allergic to?, as there could be other breeds more suitable?
