Supreme

Some of you may be aware of the proposal that the National Cat Club have put
forward for the October Council Meeting (you can find it at
Welcome to the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy - point 14c). I would draw your
attention to the results of the Supreme Show Exhibitor Survey at
http://www.gccfcats.org/Supreme/pdf/...yResults08.pdf

If you don't want to see the Supreme disappear then do please lobby your
delegates to make sure they vote in the way that you, their members, wish
them to vote.

Re: Supreme

No good writing to Our Cats, their owner is one of the National cat club committee trying to get rid of the Supreme.
If you are not in a club, write to the GCCF.

Re: Supreme

I don't get why the supreme should disappear just cos of some digruntled cat club xx

If they were something like GCCF/FIFE then i'd understand it but i don't see how NCC could have enough power to stop a show xx

Re: Supreme

National is the oldest cat club and in the past its show has been a very pretigious event with thousands of cats competing. In recent years this hase declined and it is not even one of the biggest championship shows anymore.

The club is not showing itself in a good light - they are disgruntled over the unavoidable move of the Supreme this year and have applied for a date which clashes with the Supreme next year so are now acting in their own interests and noone elses imho....

Re: Supreme

Acting how they currently are surely they will drive more people away from the National.

Re: Supreme

I don't know why the NCC can't go back to their original Dec date, that way they could have an Xmas theme again, which used to be really popular, and coach loads of people used to go down to it, and also do their Xmas shopping in London.
One does wonder if they have an ulterior motive for attacking the Supreme.
Okay the Supreme loses some money, but the NEC is very expensive and unfortunately is the only place big enough to hold it that is acceptable, but the National is an ordinary show, and it loses a tremendous amount of money, it is no longer a big show, Maidstone & Medway, Yorkshire, Shropshire and Coventry are much bigger.
