Question adult cat/kitten

Anyone have an idea how generally an adult cat might behave with the
introduction of a kitten into the house?

Re: adult cat/kitten

Not an easy one to answer that, every cat is different and reacts to something new in it's own way. Sometimes the new kitten will react worse than the cat already there. You will just have to go with the flow really and keep an eye on the situation. Good Luck

Re: adult cat/kitten

It really does depend on the nature of both. Seeing as your bringing a kitten into a cats environment there shouldn't be as much of an issue with dominance just yet. Could be a bit of hissing but I doubt it will be much of a problem, if they do get a bit naughty try leaving one in a cat carrier for a little time each day with the other in the room, so they can get used to eachother without actually being in direct contact. But try not to leave them in there too long as it shouldn't be used as punishment. Best of luck!

xxx Joey

Re: adult cat/kitten

I bought my kitten home about 2 weeks ago and peanuts the one who we though we'd have trouble with loves the kitten, Snoopy on the other hand who is brilliant normally hates her with a passion.
I wanted them all to get on but I wont force them into situations they dont want to be in, eventually it will sort it self out x
