Question Do other cats do this? Or do I have a weird one?

This isn't really a problem as such, I'm just curious

Rigsy (my female cat) seems to enjoy watching Lucky (my male cat) use the litter box. As soon as she hears him get up and go to the box, or as soon as he steps in it, she automatically goes and sits almost 2-3ft away, and just wantches him while he does his business, then once he's done, she walks away too. It's pretty much everytime without fail!

I just wonder if anyone knows why? She seems to enjoy watching him! Luckily he's not a self-conscious cat LOL. He never seems bothered about her using the box, only her when he is using it!

Hahaha, i've never worked out why some cats do that, I have a couple that do exactly the same, lol.
Maybe they think that with all the digging they do, there might just be something there....apart from a smell, hahaha

some of mine watch the others do there business, and when they have finished the ones that were watching go and cover it up more, i never gave it much thought as to why they do it, but it is funny to see,

Re: Do other cats do this? Or do I have a weird one?

LOL....
I never really thought about it either but my two used to do this and the covering it over because one hasn't done the job properly
When you write it down it seems so funny but I had just sort of accepted it's what they did
Think sometimes going on top can be dominant behaviour - but as for the rest, that's for the cats to know....

Re: Do other cats do this? Or do I have a weird one?

LOL - yes my little Kiki likes to watch my Maine Coon boy Harley doing his business in the litter tray. She seems more keen when she is calling but I think its funny how she often does this. He isn't that bothered about Kiki but he does tend to wait around the litter tray after Suki when she does hers ...

LOL Rigsy won't touch/smell/go near whatever Lucky has done, just likes watching him do it. Twisted little kitty!

Aah-she ain't twisted-she's just a girl in that some girls hate the fact that boys (human ones)pick their bogies and eat them, but still stand and watch them do it,she's probably thinking "Eerr gross and his wee's are smellier than mine...but he still is a mighty fine specimen.."
