Red face litter tray trouble - resolved!

I'll try this again in the correct catagory!!

Lola would not use the litter tray - she preferred to do it by the side of the litter tray on the ceramic tiles! We tried in vain to get her to do it outside...but no, she made a special trip indoors to do it! Why would'nt she do it outside?

No other suggestions from websites etc worked for us...or her!

Noticed one day a wet patch in some dry soil under the tree.....dry soil..maybe that was the answer?

I built a little shelter under the tree with a piece of chipboard balanced on top of some house bricks. I put some of the cat-poo in the soil under the shelter as a hint!
It worked!!! and from then on the shelter was known as the 'Poo-Palace' by the kids!

I have other shelters in the chicken pen for when it's wet - the hens love to make dust baths in it, but frequently they find they've had another visitor in there!!!

The 'Poo Palace' (patent pending) is now available in kit form at all good builders merchants!!! (ask for 6 house bricks and a bit of wood!)

Look out for it on Dragon's Den!!!!!!!!
