Cat Peeing where she shouldn't

HI everyone,

I'm a bit of a lurker - and this will be my first post.

I'm mummy to 12 week old Shelby, brown/black tabby DSH Moggy. (cutest thing ever even if I say so myself! )

But in the last week she has peed on my bed twice. Both times I have stripped the bed and washed the sheets, but I have no idea as to why?

Ever since we got her 3/4 weeks ago she has always used the litter tray (still uses it for poo's sorry if TMI)

Is there any thing I can do to stop her? all advice greatly received.

Thanks again
Jem x

Re: Cat Peeing where she shouldn't

At 12 weeks she is still a baby - so the best thing you can do is shut the door to your bedroom until she has matured and you can really trust her. It is possible that the first time she was asleep and woke up disoriantated and used your bed. Have you washed in bio washing powder or used Simple solution - otherwise you will leave trace smell for her (that you can't smell) that will tell her it is a good place to good. Give your mattress a wash too.

Hope that helps.
