Kitten litter training - urine problems.

Myself and my partner have just adopted two 8 week old kittens. They have come from a farm, and despite our initial fears, they are taking very well to living in doors with humans.

However, one of the kittens, a young female, refuses to use the litter trays to urinate, and instead opts to go either next to the box, or in a corner in the opposite side of the room.

I spoke to the vet about it, and she seemed to reckon that the kitten would grow out of it. But she did ask if I'd actually seen the kitten urinate in the box, and I haven't. I have yet to actually catch her urinating outside of the box, and am a bit of a loss about what to do about it. Does anyone have any tips?

I'd be very grateful for any advice!
