Change in behaviour - in season?

Hi,

My 5 1/2 month kitten Leela started acting a bit strange all of a sudden last night. She loves gettin scratched but never on her tummy, then last night she rolled onto her back and let me rub her tummy. This was accompanied by a noise she has never made before, kind of like a short BBBRRR sound (if that makes sense) At first we thought she had hurt herself and she seemed to be walking funny on her back leg but this soon cleared then she was rubbing her face and body on the walls. Could she be coming into season? She has not been spayed yet as vet advised to wait until 6 months. Or could there be another explaination for the change in behaviour??

Thanks!!

How long do the seasons last?

Were planning on taking her to my partner's parents house on christmas day with us but they have two tom cats, one of which seems to have a wee fancy for her so won't be able to take her now

Re: Change in behaviour - in season?

If you are just going for the day I wouldn't take her if she's still calling, it's not exactly relaxing, there's a possibility she could get out if someone forgets about doors, and she might spray in your parents' house.

All in all it would probably be safer to leave her at home if you are only going for the day!

Hi. Do you know, our 5 1/2 month old Millie started doing exactly the same yesterday, she is walking about like a little sausage dog. It is so amusing. We thought it might be a sexual thing, the look on her face says it all!!!349829061_1587508.gif
