clingy cat

Our little furball has started displaying some very clingy behaviour.

This only started after We got married but the odd thing is nothing has changed with us as we had lived together for 5 years previously.
She is not clingy with me at all just acts her normal self sitting on my lap , playing then finding a warm spot to nap. As soon as hubby comes in she is off jumping on his lap and refuses to move if she cant get on his lap she will get on top of his shoulder and sits as close as possible, at night she will get into bed with us (no problem as she has always done this when cold) and proceeds to attempt to push me out of bed. she claws my side of the bed not his, and when me n hubby want a cuddle she will claw the ottoman making as much noise as possible. In the mornings she will wake me (not him) by sitting on my head dribbling in my ear clawing and making a racket. basically woint leave us alone she is healthy eating drinking and using her litter tray well . We can't thing for the life of us whats different and making her act like this is there anything we can do to stop her from behaving in such an odd manner

Re: clingy cat

Hm... Has she been spayed? My kitten hasn't been yet but has already gone through her first heat cycle and during that she became very clingy and affectionate toward men, or male humans in general. It was very weird

Re: clingy cat

my old lady used to get very jealous when my boyfriend first started coming over and used to push herself in between us in bed. we both thought it was cute though and let her get away with it as she was so old. i can see why this would be a problem though, wish i had some advice for you!

Re: clingy cat

were you away for a while on your honeymoon? maybe she really missed you?! they do get clingier with age. my cat went from being almost feral to being so clingy that it was like having a siamese twin when she was older!

Re: clingy cat

Maybe it's a different cat, someone stole your kitty and gave you a different one
