obcessed with water
our kitten seems to be obcessed with water if he is down stairs and upstairs a tap starts running he will rush up to start "playing" with the water seems abit odd :/ always thought cats hated water

 Contrary to popular belief many cats do indeed like water, some even enjoy a bath  Very cute cat too - what breed is he?

Dont think it is odd at all
 My Raggie Meeko loves water he would play under a running tap for hours,as do many cats on the forum.Seems they are all water babes at heart  some even join their slaves in the bath/shower  Thankfully Meeko doesnt go that far  Welcome to the forum william is a gorgeous kitten

aww thank you he is stunning even i have to admit that he is pure persian but he isnt reg'd
 shame cause id love to show him and he is funny as he goes out in the garden but doesnt like the rain... LOL silly billy...

Have you thought of getting a water fountain to drink from? I bought one for my last Persian lad, he had bladder stones and needed to drink lots, but he was just scared of it. I just wondered if it may keep him satisfied?

aww bless you i think he'd love the fountin but hes coat gets notted when it drys out we spend ages grooming him after we've done the dishes, teeth ect...
the other day i ran the bath and he got so excitied and thought it was the sink and jumped up on to the side of the bath and fell in... he wasnt too impressed with getting soaked

My Seb is obsessed with water too
he hears a tap running and he'll come running. He sits in the kitchen sink waiting for the tap to drip, if it doesn't he'll lick it, sometimes the drops go up his nose and he has a sneezing fit . If I'm filling up the sink he'll play with the running water and splash me

button loves water too. always sat in the sink in the bathroom and dripping taps in the kitchen. always sat watching us have a bath. now he goes in the garden he plays around the pond, and has started drinking out of it. yuk.
