thought u all should know i have been seperating the cats at night and when im not here and lettin them out when i am home. They also have the own bowls and trays. i got soapsey on monday ( i no stupid name but blame my bf) and i was on the edge of my seat buffy hissed, growled and pawed at him and wouldnt let me near her at that moment i thought omg this isnt going to work. Yesterday she wasnt growling as much or pawing him but she still wouldnt leave him alone and he did run from her a little less and give her a paw back it seemed a little better.
Today there different cats. Buffy isnt growling hising or pawing him like she was they will go up to each other and start playing, buffy will let me touch her now when he is near and when he isnt, earliar they were asleep cuddled up to me together on the sofa and they love sitting on the cat scratching pole together soap likes the highest perch and buff likes the lower one down. They also dont seem to mind sharing each others food bowls or litter trays and if one if eating out of the others bowl and their both in there they arent bothered at all. I cant belive the change its still early days but its looking better im gettin happier by the day. Soap is in the vets 2mrw he is bein neutered so i can relax a little more and then buff is booked in for the following week so both cats will be done im having no babies in my house. Its funny at the mo as me and my bf both refer to the cats as the kids and when people ask have we got kids and we say yeah 2 cats they think we are potty but their our babies. Buffy is acepting him very well and soap is so laid back that he wasnt bothered by buffys little outbursts when she was bein a litle mare. also buffy is bein more independant and has stopped cryin as much as she did i think she cried cause she wanted attention 24/7 and when i was too tired she wasnt happy but now she plays with soap and doesnt seem to miss me as much if i go out the room which is great i have some freedom though they both come to the loo with me now and come with me when i have a bath oh and its double the trouble haha im just so proud of my bby buff after bein so worried about introducing another cat to her she has really proven me wrong.

It's great when cats get on right from the start

The much missed Black Tom took to the fabulous and equally missed Becketts arrival as a kitten from day one, they were instant best mates, which upset #2 cat Fudge somewhat as she and BT had previously been all but inseparable.

Then when I lost BT and current #1 cat, Bola arrived as a kitten, it was exactly the same with Beckett, they best mates within seconds of meeting each other for the first time.

Bola was just the same on meeting the now sadly presumed dead Buddy, and recently the little grey and white cat (currently missing) when he first ventured into the house, they were playfighting within minutes.
