Why did my cat pee in my bed?

They rarely visit my bedroom on the top floor, but tonight they explored a little more.. went under the covers and one of them wet the bed!
I had an electric mattress topper heater thing on at the time, and was sat there watching tv :/

And yes - they have plenty of clean litter trays all around the house!

Re: Why did my cat pee in my bed?

This morning she peed on the floor in the corner of the lounge..
before now she has always used the litter trays!
I don't know why she has done this. Only thing i can think of is she caught her paw in a closing door yesterday and didn't like it

Inappropriate urinating in cats can be due to stress (because of moving at new places, company of new people). May be the litter box is not being cleaned enough and your cat don't want to go near a litter box that smells offensive. You should make sure litter trays are cleaned regularly. Sometimes declawing leads to refusal to use a litter box. So, You should take your cat to the vet to rule out any medical reasons for this inappropriate urinating.

This was almost a month ago ... I wonder if you're still around here on the forum. It's only now that I see the thread.

There's a high possibility of urinary tract infection, that's exactly how a cat behaves because of the pain.

This of course doesn't exclude any of the other possibilities mentioned by Patrick Cambell.

I would go immediately to the vet (if you haven't already).
