Unhappy Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

While my beloved bundle of chaos locked herself in the bedroom she improvised a new litter tray - the corner of the room. Now she won't use her normal litter tray which she has used since i got her end of June.

I have read here that biological soap powder and enzyme cleaners will remove the smell but i want to know which is the most effective as i don't want to leave her locked out of the bedroom all the time.

So from peoples experience which is best?

Cheers

Re: Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

Clean it up well. Put the litter box in the space and then gradually move it out and back to where you want it over a few days.
ever expanding likes this.

Re: Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

As she was locked out of the bedroom all day while the cleaned area dried, she used the litter tray. I got home from work, played with her awhile, put some paper down in case she did it again and she went to the end of the paper scratched it out of the way and watered my bedroom carpet. Looks like I didn't clean a large enough area

ho hum never mind good job smells don't bother me so back to square one

Re: Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

Looks like Simple Solution doesn't work with Kimi I completely saturated the carpet and the wood beneath it (no underlay) so it must be lingering some how. Will be trying biological powder next. I really don't want another litter tray - let alone one in the bedroom!

Strange thing is she still uses the litter tray down stairs as normal!?

Ho hum the joy of being a cat slave.....

Re: Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

Have you tried putting the litter box on top of the actual area?

I only have one litter box and she is using that where it has always been (in the hall downstairs) and i don't want to put that in the bedroom in case it confuses her more.

I'm going to try this method Cat Urine: Clean & Remove Cat Urine in Carpet* FREE Recipe next.

I hope it works

Re: Accidental Litter tray now the norm ?

I'd also get another box, cats like to be clean. Ours have a tendency to use one for poo, one to wee.
