Pooing in bed??

Help!!

Starbuck (my younger kitten) has never had any problems and her and Jango love each other to pieces. They both have full range of the flat and have a litter box each.

I have been away for a night this weekend and my brother who was here this week looked after them for me. On Saturday night it started when I got a call to say Starbuck had pooed on my bed! I was surprised as they had both always been so good with the litter tray but put it down to stress as I was away.

My brother was amazing and washed everything including cleaning out the litter trays just in case. Starbuck has definitely been using the tray again between now and then due to the Amount of poo.

So now I am laying in bed this morning and she jumps up onto the bed (I think for a fuss) and she has a massive poo at the foot of the bed with me watching???

It looks all normal, she is eating and drinking well has had all her vaccinations etc. does she now think my bed is a massive litter tray? It can't possibly smell of poo, we changed all the bedding.

Help!

Re: Pooing in bed??

Would suggest a second litter tray perhaps in a different place to the first and if your current tray is an open one try a covered tray. It may be, that whilst the cats do get on, the other one may be bullying Starbuck when she has tried to use the tray and now she prefers to do it where she feels safer!!
Jango can't possibly guard two trays in different positions so hopefully this may resolve the issue.

Other than that would suggest a change of type of litter used - you could try Cat Attract litter. May even be worth a quick visit to the vets just to check everything is A OK.
