Bonfire night adventure

Hi everyone,

Rocky has now been going outside for a good few weeks now and is getting used to the garden and the surrounding area. We were off all of last week and after returning from the gym (Nov 5th) thought we'd let him out for a while. This was at 11.30am. We had visitors at 12 noon and they wanted to meet him but he had other ideas.

Rocky came in at 12noon and used the litter tray, still wont go outside, an issue for another day, and then ran off to play again. Our visitors left at 2 and didn't see him.

We were going out at 6pm for a firework party so at 4pm when he still wasn't we started to worry having been gone for 4 hours. We searched everywhere rattling toys with no luck. At 6pm we decided to leave a window open and lights on, left food out and a clean litter tray.

I worried all night and when we returned at 11.30pm there was still no sign of him. We planned to look for him in the morning in gardens under cars having feared he'd been hit by a car.

Then.............midnight we heard a cry at the back door and opened it and there he sat. He jumped in his litter tray, ate his dinner then hid under the dining table washing.

We think he got scared and kept walking. He was soaked, muddy and his back claws scrabbed down, climbing trees I reckon. He has been very soppy and clingy ever since then and no running away for new adventures....just yet anyway!
