Odd cat behaviour

Hi, I have 2 female cats, both spayed. Tilly is about 10 years old now and we got her from a rescue centre about 8 years ago. Tink is 2 and we've had her from a kitten. Tilly's being acting a bit strange. She's started sleeping in the cat litter tray until she's messed in it. I have to keep on top of the litter trays because if I don't keep them clean she poops anywhere she feels like it. She's even pooped in the washing machine on some dirty washing(I've no idea how she managed it.) I know it's Tilly as she very rarely goes out and it usually happens when Tink is out. She sometimes poops in odd places even if the trays are clean. Not sure how to deal with it. She's quite a healthy cat, so is it done to her age? The consistency of the poop hasn't changed so I know she's ok in that department. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Thanks
