Re: Kittens in Torquay free to good home
If they are gorgeous why are they free
he should sell them for a reasonable price so people are serious, giving them away just attracts people on a whim ![]() |

Re: Kittens in Torquay free to good home
I'm sure he will accept an apropriate donation gratefully, and it would go towards the costs he's incurred and will incur in the near future when he spays his queens! However he's mostly interested in seeking good loving homes for them as soon as is practicable (they are fully weaned, litter trained, deflead and dewormed, but the additions mean he has 8 cats in his flat right now!) rather than making a buck. Which I'm not going to argue with.
I see your point and for the same reason I've accepted money for pups and kittens in the past (not much, £40-£50) however sometimes I'd rather be sure that if someone on a low income were to offer my charges a home that the money they'd save would go towards vacs or other necessary expenses. We were given our kittens "for free" by some neighbours... and they gave away the rest too and they all have lovely homes. I think it's more about checking out people properly and getting to know them rather than seling to the highest bidder... after all a Carnie offered me £250 for my pup once. Doesn't make him a responsible owner. Thanks for the thought though and I will mention it to him ![]() |

Re: Kittens in Torquay free to good home
Also - they are not advertised anywhere in any papers or shop windows don't worry; my friend asked me if I knew anyone so I have put them in my status update on Facebook to let my friends know ( I had success finding a home for our kittens brother with a friend on Facebook) and I reasoned that here would be a good place to attract honest caring pet owners rather than irresponsible numpties who get pets on a whim xx
