Went with my daughter to the rspca at warrington ( she wanted some rats ) but while I was there looked at the cats they must have just come in from one household 5 or 6 persians in a sorry state needed a good groom or shave
I was surprised at there faces being that flat and great big eyes what a shame.

That is such a shame those persians are in rescue - I reeally cannot understand why people give them up. They are an amazing breed, very loving and friendly and extremely placid. Yes, they require alot of grooming but I find that relaxing and important bonding time with my furbabies.

They are such an understated breed of cat, even my mum thinks they are 'ugly' and that it 'is wrong they are bred like that...' but i'm quick to tell her she's wrong and that until she knows the personality then she has no right to judge or criticise.

My babies are happy, loved and well cared for - as a cat should be. Its so sad that they end up in rescues

I think persians are wonderful and have the most loving personailitys. There so sweet looking and i agree to many are in rescue due to the lack of understanding the care required for there wellbeing also not taking the time for the coat care needed for the breed.
