Smiffys mum is on a distinguished road
MAX - 4 years old needs new home.

Max is a beautiful 4 year old long haired ginger male, who has been neutered.
He belongs to my daughter who reluctantly needs to find a new home for him.

He is very loving and loves to cuddle up on the sofa , however, my 13 month old grandaughter loves him so much she terrorises him that he now has decided that indoors is not a good place to be. He refuses to come in for his food, and my daughter has to put it outside which is not how it should be.

Max needs to be with a cat loving family where he can snuggle up in comfort without worrying about little hands pulling his long hair. she has contacted the Cat Protection League who were most unhelpful, telling her to isolate the cat in another room. this is not what Max is used to. All she wants to do is let Max have the lovely life he deserves.

My daughter lives near Rochester in Kent and can be contacted on 07774008643.

Re: MAX - 4 years old needs new home.

Could your daughter not try what CP have said while she teaches your Granddaughter to be gentle around him?

It seems such a shame to rehome him, when a bit of time and adjustment from both sides could solve the issue. A pet is a lovely thing for a child to experience and grow up with and they can be taught so much about how to properly care for another living being, even from 13 months old.

I was born the same day as my cat, and my parents taught me and my brother (born 15 years after me when Ringo was an OAP) that you have to be gentle and not shout at animals. I am now teaching my son the same thing (although he is 4 years old, so a bit older than your Granddaughter)

Please tell her not to give up on the situation or Max - this is solvable with a bit of love, education and effort x

Hi sorry your having to re home your cat. You are best to contact all these rescues, they probably won't have room but at least you can get your cat on their waiting lists and they will call you as soon as a space becomes available
