Bozita Anyone?

Hey folks,

Does anyone here feed bozita?
I ordered it from Zooplus the other day, when I read the right ups on it, it seems to contain between 88% and 95% meant (depending on the flavour). It comes in cartons (like what you get juice in) and each carton contains almost as much as a standard tin (370g). I put some down for the cats last night and they loved it! The whole packet was gone in about 20mins (split between 3), this is unheard of from my cats! Even the dishes they like they wont eat that much in one go!

The unbelievable thing about it is the price, for 18 of these packets I paid about £11 (on special) and about £15 full price. Now that compares much more closely to the price of tinned food than pouches! And whats more there is nothing wasted! I have not had to throw any of it out because they didn’t eat it.

Now I have only fed it for 2 meals so far, so I don’t want to get too excited, but I think I may have found a big hit here!

Re: Bozita Anyone?

I used to feed mine on it, but could only give the chicken one as the others gave them the runs really bad. I found though I was wasting more than they were eating as they licked all the juice and jelly and left the chunks It was taken off production for a while too because it did'nt have a very long shelf life and a lot of breeders who bought it in bulk found it was out of date by the time they came to feeding it. They've since rectified that I think. They do a biscuit version or they did, but every breeder I know with whatever breed it was cats got really bad stomach upsets, so we all stopped using it. I've not seen it at shows for about a year as nobody would buy it.

Oh this does concern me a bit, but so far so good on the poos with my chaps. As for the shelf life, I think they have rectified that problem because the ones I have are dated june 2010. I guess if they have a bad rep, this explains the price.

Re: Bozita Anyone?

Thats good they sorted the date thing out. I liked the stuff to be honest because of where the meat came from and the amount in it. Just my cats wasted most of it, lol. I would'nt buy the biscuits ever again though.

Re: Bozita Anyone?

Mine aren't too fussed with it - just eating the jelly and leaving the meat! You can get it from R&L Products. Mine did quite like the biscuits.
