2 week old kittens with crusty eyes

Hi everyone,

as you will remember Lily gave birth to 6 kittens 2 weeks ago - 2 died.

The kittens are now 2 weeks and seem to be doing fine but 2 of them have got crusty eyes. I am having to bathe them every hour or so - if not, their eyes close altogether.

They dont seem any better after 2 days of bathing, i have been doing it with salt water. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Kelsie

Hi Kelsie

How are the eyes today?

Has the tea worked?

Glad everything else seems to be going well with this litter.

Re: 2 week old kittens with crusty eyes

After two days or so of bathing there eyes and there being no improvement
I think you need A/B cream, eye problems can soon turn nasty so a trip to the vet would be the best thing for the kittens
I hope they soon get better

Re: 2 week old kittens with crusty eyes

hi guys,
they seem to be getting better with the bathing but still can be abit crusty in the morning. I am going to ring the vets when they open and get some drops for them. I will keep you updated.
