Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

The response by MPM to all of this is quite frankly disgusting.

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

I would like to make certain comments in response to the aforementioned statement from MPM Products (Roger Wood).
The Trading Standards test results have revealed a number of contaminants. Our own test results carried out at independant labs have also revealed a number of contaminants. Our results have been shown to Roger Wood in order to get this issue addressed. He has never produced any test results despite numerous requests for him to so.
There has been a number of complaints about the dried food not only from the U.K. but also from the continent.
Perhaps Mr.Wood does not consider it a complaint if he has reimbursed the customer the price of the food.Surely the reason they got their money back was because they complained about the food.
If Mr.Wood intends to sue me and my wife then it is highly improper to be publishing statements like his prior to an impending court case.
I hope you will publish my response as a fair right to reply so that people will know there are two sides to this issue, not just Mr.Woods version of events.
Regards,
John Twyman

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

Yes but RC did this to my cat, i think it's a mix of changing food and the fact that quite simply, some food dissagres with some cats and not another, if your other 2 cat are fine on it it can't be anthing to do with what's actually in the food surely?

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

Hi everybody, wow alot has gone on since I last logged on!
Just to put your mind at rest (Saikou) I am not connected with Applaws, just a simple housewife, mother and slave to all my animals, not sure why you though I was? I just use their products along with other companies products and was interested in the debate. I am not a newgroup junkie and only log on when I have time so sorry for the delayed response. I had no problems in getting a response from MPM, so I cannot comment as to why some of had not had a response but why don't you try again?
katiefrank, I do not know the Applaws people I only sent them an email for some information so if you want them to join the debate, ask them. I would be very interested to see how they respond.
I would be interested to hear why messyhearts thought that the information I posted was disgusting? Rather a strong comment for what was, I thought, quite a reasonable statement.

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

It's extremely poor customer service to threaten customers for wanting to discuss something that they are genuinely concerned about after the company has offered absolutely no hard scientific evidence to reassure customers.

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

My cat has tried a few different brands in the past which all made her sick and even itch, So i decided to try applaws dry as well as the wet, She has had no problems at all, her fur is shiny she is extremely happy never had any problems with stools or vomiting since, she has been on it over a year now. Im hoping after reading all the other comments that it stays this way as i cant find anything else she will eat.
Has anyone elses cat been on it for over a year and had problems later down the line?

Re: Trouble with Applaws dry

My kitten has been struggling with every type of food I've given him. He has blood in his stools and has seen the vet numerous times who says he isn't inflamed. We were given the Hill's Vet choice one and that worked for about 10 days before the bloody stools were back.
He's back on chicken and rice for a few days while I wait for my Applaws dry to arrive from Zooplus. I'm a bit worried now!
