Hello all you cat lovers
Having a bit of trouble with my cat, he has multiple small spots dotted around his back and if you stroke him in certain areas he reacts with a moan. He has a recently bought flea collar. I have looked on the internet for a solution... but too no success, any ideas? Bono123 |

Re: Help!
Flea collars aren't much good for getting rid of fleas especially ones bought at supermarets. My vet said they're useless actually so I use the spot on treatments.
To me your cats problem sounds like it's a flea allergy. Is your cat itchy or scratching as well? Most vets offer a free flea check service so it might be worth asking your vets if they offer this service just to see if it is fleas. Hope you manage to get this sorted soon xx

Re: Help!
yeah i agree, sounds like flea allergy.
get some frontline spot on or effipro and see if that helps. throw away the flea collar they dont work. also, rememember to worm your cat every 3/6 months too. flea allergies can cause scabbing, raw areas and can get quite sore. The areas will be itchy so the cat tends to lick and scratch the areas making it even worse. let us how what happens. |
