Re: help poorly cat

Hi Noushka and you are indeed a good soul-which is why this little lady found her way to you,her coloring wouldn't have anything to do with her being sterile but her state of health would or like you say she may have been spayed-if she has been spayed she will have a scar on her tummyEverything crossed for you and your little friend-i haven't any idea about her possible condition but am praying for you both and god bless you Noushka

Re: help poorly cat

thanks for the lovely words & good wishes for her glad you put me straight on why she might be sterile Kelly i was going to ask the vet if it could be her colouring

we're going to take her as late as possible because we want to try & minimise her stress, they want her in overnight to make sure she has nothing in her stomach

Re: help poorly cat

well we've just got back from the vets its the 1st time hes actually seen her & he dosent think its cancer he thinks it could be an auto immune disease or a viral infection as shes also got a small black lump thing on the rim of her eye ,so we've left her & tomorrow shes going to have a biopsy the results of which will be back on thursday.

It was horrible putting her in the carrier & she was totally stressed by the journey she was panting & crying
but she was so good for the vet & never once tried to scratch or bite she let him have a really good look at her & he put back in the carrier with no problem, bless her.

has anyone got any ideas of the things the vet could be thinking it might be?

the vet has phoned to say they've removed both her ears she had a little black lump on the other one, but hes concerned about the lump on the rim of her eye because he couldnt do anything about it, anyway hes still sending a biopsy i hope its going to be some good news we're going to get her at teatime i've got to get a litter tray etc to put in the dog cage(dont know wether she'll use though)

Ahhhh, poor baby. It's for the best I guess, if it saves her life. Let us know how she is when you pick her up.

we've got her back but i'm really worried because shes so frantic to get out that shes already made her ears bleed bashing them on the cage & she got her arm stuck up the buster collar but we've covered the cage over & just left her quiet in the hope she'll settle down, has anyone got any tips to ease her stress i just hope we've done the right thing i hate seeing her so distressed
