Kitten throwing up again...

So I posted about this a few weeks ago but it stopped. Now it appears to have started again. This time however it seems to be just cat food coloured liquid that's being thrown up. Last time it was chunks of food.

I always find it in the morning so I can't be sure which kitten it is. Neither are showing signs of illness..

I have recently switched them to Bozita wet food. Now I have always given them different brands and flavours of food. So breakfast could be Tesco Finest chicken, dinner could be Feline Fayre Salmon etc... This was partly trying out different things and so that they wouldn't get used to 1 particular brand in case I couldn't get to that shop again etc. Is this likely to be causing the throwing up though? Or should I take them to the vet?

Re: Kitten throwing up again...

Personally I think its the swapping of different foods between each meal time... If i did that with my two they'd be having runny tummies all the time. I have to introduce new food slowly and over at least a week otherwise they let me know its not settling well! If you know what i mean! UGH.

But, i spose each cat is different - you could ring and ask your vet what they think?? It doesnt hurt to check.

Or could it be furball related??

I did wonder that but haven't seen any fur in their bile yet. They have cat grass to chew on if needed.

I do think that too much variety will upset their stomachs and possibly cause vomiting however I would prob also take them for a check up just to be sure. Do they run around much after their food? sometimes mine do and always bring it back up

Re: Kitten throwing up again...

If neither are showing any other symptoms and you find it in the morning, then it could be something that happens when their tums are empty and expecting food. I have an adult that does this if his breakie is late. They have food left overnight, but if that gets eaten quicker than usual then he had an issue in the morning. I just make sure he gets an extra snack as late as possible in the evening and he has been OK since.

They are always chasing around and at night it's worse so yes it could be that.

I leave dry food out all the time so they could eat that if they were getting hungry overnight. The bowl is never empty...

I have 12 cans of Bozita to get through so I will try keeping them on the same meal and see if that makes any difference.
