Re: Feline Herpes in Eye - any treatments known?

Hi my cat has recently been diagnosed with feline corneal sequestrum but cannot be treated as she also had herpes, Ive purchased some L-Lysine paste called Enisyl-F, and for a 100ml measured dose tube it cost me under £15 including delivery, can be purchased online and each pump delivers 250mg of paste which can be added to food or given straight to cat

Re: Feline Herpes in Eye - any treatments known?

Hi there
Our senior cat Cindy, who we have had for nearly 9 years now, also has feline herpes (and has has since we got her). When we rehomed her the rescue centre said that they were prepared to carry on supplying, free of charge, the eye drops she needed. Anyhow, about 2 weeks later there was an outbreak of foot and mouth in the area and the rescue centre had to close for a month. We ran out of the eye drops during this period but her eyes didn't get any worse, so when we went back to the rescue centre ince they were open again they decided that she no longer needed the drops. Now most days her eyes are quite good, although one will occasionally weep a little bit but it doesn't bother her and the vet is fine with it.
