I really hope so! I've changed to deodorising litter and even with changing it every 2-3 days and scooping several times a day it is stinking the flat out. OH is moaning constantly and reminding me of how I told him cat's are clean and don't smell when I was twisting his arm to let me get them.

Well, good luck as i know how upsetting/stressful it can be with stinky poop! Mine were going 2-3 times a day EACH on bozita and it was pretty grim so completely understand!

Now they go once a day (sometimes once every two days depending on the mince i give them) and they dont stink at all... i have also stopped giving them dry food too as this didnt help with the stink!

Mine have gone off Bozita but maybe its a good thing! while im trying to get them on raw what should I feed them if they are struggling to like it? I know its really important not to starve them so they eat and I would never do that anyway.

The poops really do stink,a bit like rotten eggs???

Re: Raw Food

Mine were unsure of beef and pork mince when i first started but love the rabbit and chicken minces... rabbit seems a good place to start but be a bit careful as some cats will become fussy if fed too much rabbit (ie they love it so much they will only eat rabbit!)... but best bet is to ask Karen on here as she is v knowledgeable about raw feeding. Kiskasiberian is her name on here i think.

Bozita is good in that it is high meat content but it made my two have VERY stinky poop and have heard the same from a lot of other people too...

Re: Raw Food

I was really struggling with my 3 cats recently as they seemed to go off the raw (apart from tongue). I tried them with Natures Menu and they turned their noses up at that too! As I had a freezer full of mince I decided to give it another go and just refuse to give them anything else. My NFC had terrible liquid diarrhea the whole time he was on Natures Menu and within a day of having raw again he was fine! I've just placed quite a big order of diced meats so I think I will mix these in with the mince if they start to go off it again. It's weird that they ALL do it?

I also ordered some frozen rabbit ears which is new. I think they can go in the garden with those!

My cat is a very fussy eater and she took to chicken straight away. I haven't tried her with rabbit b/c I don't really see the point. It has low taurine and lacks vitamins plus chicken is easy to get hold of and fairly cheap which is always a good thing! If they don't take to chicken then try sprinkling tuna water over it, parm cheese or crushed up freeze dried(Thrive) treats. If they still don't like it then I'd try the rabbit

But like Zoe said, Kiskasiberian will be a great source of info for you.

Hope that helps!
