Re: Worrying morning

Really hope it is not serious - please let us know how it goes and what the test results are.
Thinking of you both

Re: Worrying morning

Good morning all.

Well, thank goodness the test results came back and said she was a healthy cat and her kidneys are fine. We were able to pick her up yesterday evening and she seems much better.

This morning she was pining for her breakfast as normal and has eaten it all so fingers crossed shes ok. Shes having a last check up later. Not to be too horrible but a pooh of hers from yesterday afternoon did have alot of greenary in it. We'll have to watch them closely when we let them out in the future. I do want my cats to be outside cats so she'll have to learn not to eat plants!

Thanks for all the advice and I'll let you know later how we got on. I'll also try and download a photo of my two little ones

Re: Worrying morning

Good news

I bet she ate something. My old dog had 3 0r 4 episodes in his life when he would be obviously ill for a day or 2 and not eat. Once or twice his tummy swelled and he was in pain. I think he had a very delicate tum. He went to the vets on 2 occasions and they could find nothing wrong so I had to watch him closely what he ate.

The last and most worrying one was when he would not eat, could hardly move and was very lethargic. Took him to the vet who took bloods and said results would be back the next day.. By the next day Benji was fine and back to his normal self, however the vet rang and said his blood results were showing dangerously high liver diease/damage. I said 'he's fine now though' and they couldn't believe it. Obviously the time the test was done, whatever he'd eaten was still in his system, but had no lasting damage.
