science plan

Went to visit kittens tonight and have reserved my little silver blue spotted boy to be coming home with me beginning of August )

The breeder currently uses science plan and was wondering on how good and how this food is recommended as we were going to hopefully try with the ORIJEN food from zooplus but will maybe continue with the science plan if this is any good.

Re: science plan

I take it its made by Hill's? If so this is considered to be one of the brands that is the cats pyjamas so to speak! Both my cats are on a prescription diet made by Hill's and they haven't got any complaints!

Re: science plan

theres mixed opinions on this here, some dont think its any good and only recommended by vets because they are on commision from sales, some have had cats that have had health problems which have gone when they stopped feeding hills.

I feed Royal Canin too and never had a problem. All my kittens go with a bag of kitten biscuit, plus whatever meat they are on

Hill's is highly overrated! It made our cats worse when they were prescribed it. Orijen is the most biologically appropriate dry food available and helped no end to make our cats better.

Re: science plan

Alfie wouldnt touch that Hills stuff when his Vets, they gave it to him when he had woken up from his operation (de-balled!) so he must have been starving!

Alfie loves Orijen but Lola prefers James Wellbeloved and refuses to touch Orijen!

Think most of it's trial and error with what your cat prefers
