Can anyone help?
My 8 year old cat seems poorly but we can't pinpoint why. We came in from work last night to find him overly affectionate, but he seemed to have problems setting his back right foot on the floor. He definitely is not in any pain as he has let us feel his legs, stomach etc, but he is just not right. In the last 12 hours he has become less affectionate. He is not a garden cat, but has spent today sitting just outside our back door, and when I went to him in the last hour or so he would not come to me.
Any suggestions? ![]() |

Re: Can anyone help?
Cats can be in some discomfort and it can be missed by us
when they usually are affectionate and you see a change in there behaviour like being aloof and not wanting to be petted there is usually something wrong with them I would take your cat to the Vet just in case![]()

Re: Can anyone help?
Thank you for your replies. We did take our cat to the vet this morning. It turns out that there is nothing medically wrong with him. We did spot a cat in the garden the other day, and the vet thinks he probably has been intimidated by this other cat and is just very scared. In terms of his leg, he may have pulled a muscle but again the vet does not think there is anything wrong. We are to keep in indoors for a few days and hopefully he will be right as rain very soon
What a relief ![]() |
