Tuna for Cats....

I was just wondering, I have heard in the past tuna is not very good for cats, something to do with unsaturated fats causing yellow fat disease?

I notice alot of the Applaws food is made from tuna...

Now I'm confused as I hear tuna is not good for cats, yet a reputable make like Applaws use alot of it!

Any advice welcome!!

Re: Tuna for Cats....

Well have to say everytime i mention Tuna or Tuna is mentioned-it's like you've used a blasphemous word as the Orijen brigade go right off on oneHowever we use Asda's own Tuna chunks in brineI know and all our cats/kitts are fine and it's all our old man Noodles sensitive tum will aloow him to eat without any backlash as it were-it's his main source of food,i do wash off the brine and for our other cats/kitts and occasionally Noodies mix it with white fish, prawns and eek:finley grated cheeseI say 10 hail Marys and watch them flourish and grow and drop nice firm non to smelly turds and thus far a particularly fine wet sample of wee-not that i am an expert but i know good wee from bad weeSo for us and ours at least it works Bee

yeh I heard something like that.. but then why would Applaws use it in loads of their cat food? odd!

So I take it you're not keeping your kits on Orijen?!

Mine a really fond of the Orijen but we'll see in a few weeks cause they usually love any new dry food and then get bored
