Re: Tuna for Cats....

hmmm well I've ordered some so I'm going to give it a try, I like to be open minded, but I'm a little worried now as I dont want them getting upset tummies.. as you know once a kit's tummy is upset it takes alot to get it back to normal!!

Re: Tuna for Cats....

Mine will only eat John West's tuna chunks, forget your supermarket brands! I actually have a brilliant photo for this thread...Lucky likes his John West

In all honestly, they don't get actual tinned tuna very often. When I open a tin, the onnly way I can get them away from climbing up my leg is to give them a bit, so I put a little spoonfull in each dish (without the brine of course) and run back to use up the tuna quick or they'll be back again!

They do quite often get tuna flavoured cat food, but I don't think of that as being tuna, just cat food

Re: Tuna for Cats....

The only thing I've heard about tuna is that an all-tuna diet will eventually lead to blindness. Well -with anything if you're going to feed them a non-complete diet for all of their lives they're going to develop something hideous!

Our very small kittens are weaned on Applaws (both chicken based and tuna based), our older kittens and cats have tuna in spring water if I'm running behind with cat chores and need something quick. In reality this does happen perhaps twice a week!
