Re: Homeopathy

Yes Angeli i did mean Raspberry leaf-i dunno why but i always say Rosemary,Rosemary/raspberry nearly the same in sound anywaysD Like i said we used it on Rosie with her 1st litter and she and the farscapes were all fine, now she's like a furbucket-she just spits em out Platina is good for some and not for others-think it depends on how sexy ya gal gets-worked great on Rosie, but on Trinity who is her mothers daughter as far as being really, really sexy it didn't help any so we tried another foli something(poo with names, thankgod i recognise bottlesLOL) and works quite fast and efficiently

I've heard of that one, its the one you can give early on in pregnancy I believe. I was going to try it but was warned by someone that it could cause the queen to abort.
Ive given caulophyllum to my queens during labour and maybe its just coincidence but all the kittens were born quickly without too much straining for the queen.

Saynamore that does surprise me, Ive never had a Pyo case but have heard they normally use conventional drugs to treat it so am surprised you have a vet who recommended the other instead.
Is there any chance of you remembering what it was you gave your girl as I would like to keep this in mind if needed in future?

I was prescribed conventional drugs when it was a normal pus pyometra but they werent working and it advanced to a bleeding pyometra, which meant it had started attacking the internal organs. I will look through my medicine cabinet and see if I can find it. She would have had to have major surgery if that hadnt worked so you can imagine how I thought of it as a little miracle eek:

Re: Homeopathy

I've ordered stuff in the past from Ainsworths of London and if you ring them and speak to the animal man, you can get some good advice.

One thing the vet did tell me was that you hadnt to touch any tablets with your fingers as that did something to the effect of them, but you had to feed them either with tweezers or straight out of the lid of the bottle. Something to do with the oils in your skin affecting them I think confused:

Whatever they are they sound like a godsend

Have never had Pyo crop up with any of my girls yet but would be good to prepare if it happened. What exactly triggers a Pyo anyway?
