Limping Kitten

Hiya guys,

Just a quick question - this evening hwen I got home from work I noticed that Megan's been limping along and she has one of her front legs raised off the ground. I've had a look online and they've mentioned "Limping kitten syndrome" and she did only have her vaccinations on Sunday, and I'm just wondering if anyone here's had a kitten who's had it, or whether I need to get her to the vets ASAP. She can put weight on her front right leg, but it seems to be tender. I've tried to feel it, and it seems to be around the joint it's painful, but the rest of it's okay.

Sorry I'm being a painwith all the questions over the last few weeks, but I just can't stand to see her in pain. That we know of she hasn't had any falls, and other than the regular jumping around and play-fighting with Gracie, I don't know what could have caused it.

Thanks in advance!

Damian x

Re: Limping Kitten

Hi Damian. If Megan is still limping tomorrow, i'd take her to the vets. I've just been through the same thing with one of mine. I decided to get an x-ray to be sure, the vet thought one or two toes might be broken, thankfully not, just badly bruised. They are now on cage rest( vets advice). It seems to be working. Better to be safe than sorry

Re: Limping Kitten

She's running around this morning with the leg, but when she's not running is still holding it up, so I'm going to take her in this morning at 10am just to get it all checked out!

Re: Limping Kitten

Good luck at the vets, it could be just rough and tumble, and sort itself out in a day or two, but best to get it checked out
